The Riley Festival Photography Contest invites photographers of all skill levels to submit images that reflect this year’s poem theme. Entries should highlight the festival’s atmosphere, local culture, or natural beauty surrounding Greenfield. Each photo must be original and taken within the festival dates.

Submit up to three mounted photos on September 30th between 8am and 6pm at the Hancock County Annex. Images must be accompanied by a completed entry form. Judging will focus on creativity, composition, and relevance to the theme. Winners will be announced during the festival’s closing ceremony.  The release of photos will be Sunday, October 4th between 4-5pm at the Hancock County Annex.

Showcase Your Creativity in Home Arts

The Home Arts contest welcomes entries from local artists specializing in crafts such as pottery, quilting, woodworking, and painting. Each submission should reflect skill, originality, and connection to the festival’s annual theme inspired by James Whitcomb Riley’s poetry.
Entries are judged on craftsmanship, creativity, and presentation. Participants must submit their work by the specified deadline and include a brief description of their piece. This contest offers a platform to highlight the diverse talents within our community.

Home Arts Contest Categories and Criteria

The Little Miss & Mr. Pageant welcomes children aged 4 to 12 to showcase their confidence, personality, and community involvement. Participants are judged on poise, presentation, and their ability to engage with the audience.
Contestants will be evaluated by a panel of local judges who consider stage presence, communication skills, and overall charm. This event highlights the talents and character of our youngest festival participants in a supportive environment.
